Abdullah Ibrahim Alhassan

PhD Student

In 2009, Abdullah Alhassan received his bachelors of electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Continuing his education, he Joined University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 2014 and completed his Master in science and engineering in the field of Materials in 2015 and in 2018 completed his PhD in the same field. During his time in UCSB, he worked on improving Gallium Nitride materials and devices used for lighting and display. His specific research interests includes growth and fabrication of GaN based semiconductor and their application to visible (blue, green and red) LEDs.
