Mr. Almogbel has earned a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering in 2010 from College of Engineering in King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 2011, he joined KACST as a researcher in the national nanotechnology center. His job was to design two labs for processing and characterizations for solar cells applications, as well as
procure tools and system for those labs. In 2015, he joined the nitrides group in University of California, Santa Barbara to pursue a doctoral degree in Materials science and engineering. His main PhD project is employing MOCVD system in growth, characterization and processing of Aluminum Gallium Nitride (AlGaN) thin films in order to develop efficient deep ultraviolet light emitting diode.
